THE DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
The role of the Development Committee is to evaluate present
services, materials and facilities in relation to the
identified community needs. The committee also coordinates
activities and functions of standing committees.
DEVELOPMENT NEWS
The Development Committee has been meeting bi-monthly
to develop a timeline for a plan of action. A board of
Trustees and a Board of Advisors has been in place for
four years.
A Capital Campaign was officially kicked off on June
16, 2004 at the Center at a reception for the banking
community. Extensive renovations to the building have
begun with the following completed.
BUILDING UPDATE
Community contributions have helped accomplish all these
renovation projects:
- Engineered plot plan & special permit
- Architectural plans drawn
- Roof repaired
- Outside of building painted & power washed
- All hazardous materials removed
- Unusable ceiling tiles, flooring tiles & teller
counters removed
- All windows replaced by high-energy saving, low-maintenance,
tilt-in, triple-paned windows
- Stockade fence installed to delineate property
- Property cleanup & maintenance
- Cultural Center sign & changeable events signage
installed
- Septic analysis completed, Title V certification
obtained
- In the coming months, the priorities will be on
new heating, air conditioning, insulation, suspended
ceiling and plumbing systems.
- New ceilings, plumbing, heating and air conditioning
systems
- Interior painting almost completed
