Aline will teach a two-day workshop in oil painting…plein air if the weather cooperates. Both days include demonstrations emphasizing the principles of design, color theory and technique. Aline gives lots of individual attention, with a “one-room school house” philosophy. She goes into each workshop covering the basics and then works individually with each student at the level they are most comfortable in.
“When I teach, I like to have all levels so that students not only learn from me, but also from their fellow students. I try to create an open, comfortable environment so students will be un-intimidated and take risks. I always do a demonstration while I talk about techniques, principals of design and color and encourage students to find their own voice.”
Aline is a Signature Member of the American Impressionist Society and a Master Pastelist in the Pastel Society of America. Her paintings have won many prestigious awards over the last few years and she was recently the subject of a feature article in Pastel Journal. Her work has been accepted in national juried shows of the American Impressionist Society, The Pastel Society of America and the Oil Painters of America “My goal as an artist is to find those times and places where beauty is not only evident, but startling and suddenly present.”
