SELF-CARE DAY 2024

Self-Care is an important part of keeping ourselves healthy- mentally, physically and spiritually. Caregivers, whether in a health profession, education field, or taking care of a loved one in need, often don’t spend the time needed to care for themselves. Survivors, whether from cancer or another illness, or a survivor of abuse, or suffering from loss and grief, can benefit from time devoted to wellness and creativity.
Experience morning wellness workshops, including chair yoga, mindfulness, drumming, and journaling. This will be followed by fun & relaxation, including sound healing with crystal bowls and painting & mocktails. Then participants can choose between the slow art of pressed flowers, mixed media collage, handbuilding in clay, and paper mache bowls. The day culminates with a delicious buffet luncheon created by Chef Nicholas Caplice.
You might be a nurse, a school counselor, an individual grieving the loss of a friend, someone experiencing cancer treatments, or a loving partner of someone with Alzheimers….whoever you are as Caregiver or Survivor, we hope you will take the day to enjoy self-care and celebrate the special person that you are and the gifts that you selflessly give.
